I went to the Cottonwood Market today mostly just to walk around and look at art.

As I passed one of the booths, one of the vendors started talking with me and asked what I was looking for. I told her I really just enjoy walking through and seeing the artwork. She smiled and began showing me some of the pieces she had displayed. After a few minutes, she asked if I made art too.

So I showed her some of my work.

As we talked, I noticed she was wearing a necklace with Hebrew letters on it. I asked her about it, and she looked a little surprised.

“I’m impressed you noticed,” she said.

I told her it stood out to me because I recognized the Hebrew letters. That’s when her tone shifted. She shared that it’s been rough lately—that she’s seen Nazi swastikas showing up in public places. I told her I agreed. It’s not okay. It’s not cool. And it’s heartbreaking to see.

I shared something I genuinely believe: that the Jewish people are God’s chosen people. They were blessed to be a blessing.

She had a hard time with that, but it opened the door to a deeper conversation.

Israel, Elijah, and a mountain view

We started talking about Israel. She told me she had been there, and I told her I had too. I mentioned one of my favorite places—standing on top of Mount Carmel.

I asked if she remembered the story of Elijah on Mount Carmel.

She didn’t.

So I told it to her.

I shared how Israel had turned away from the Lord under King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, and how the prophet Elijah confronted that rebellion. Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal to a public test—one altar, one sacrifice, no fire allowed. The god who answered by fire would be shown to be the true God.

The prophets of Baal cried out all day. They danced. They cut themselves. Nothing happened.

Elijah prodded the false prophets. Perhaps Baal was busy or using the toilet?

Baal never responded.

Then Elijah rebuilt the altar of the Lord, soaked the sacrifice with water until it filled the trench around it, and prayed a simple prayer.

Fire fell from heaven.

It consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, the dust, and even the water.

The people fell on their faces and declared, “The LORD, he is the God.”

After that, Elijah told Ahab to go eat and drink, because rain was coming. Elijah went up to pray, and soon after a few prayers, a small cloud appeared in the distance.

Then comes one of my favorite details.

Scripture says Elijah girded up his loins, and the hand of the Lord came upon him—and he ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to Jezreel.

I told her that when I stood on Mount Carmel myself, there was a compass pointing to Jezreel—about 17 miles away. I couldn’t see it way out there, but Elijah ran that entire distance faster than the king’s horses.

She stopped me and asked a great question.

“Why did he run faster? What was the point?”

I had to admit—I had never really thought about it. The Bible doesn’t say why. Maybe he was hungry after years of drought. Maybe he wanted to get home before the rain hit. Maybe it was simply the strength of the Lord on him, showing that God’s power didn’t stop at the fire.

I told her I didn’t know—but I loved that Scripture leaves room to wonder.

Isaiah 53, read out loud

Before we wrapped up, I asked her a question.

“Have you ever read Isaiah 53?”

She said no.

I asked if I could read it with her.

She said yes.

So right there, at a market booth, I read Isaiah 53 aloud to her from the King James Bible. I paused at important moments. I let the words sit.

When I finished, she looked at me and said, “That was really beautiful.”

Then I asked her, “Do you know who that’s about?”

She paused and said, “It’s about Jesus.”

I smiled and said, “Yep.”

And then I told her, “This was written for you.”

She hesitated and said, “I don’t know if that’s a good thing.”

I told her, “It is a good thing.”

Then she added, “I’m going to have to go back and re-read it.”

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

A prayer request

If you would, please pray for this Jewish woman—that she would come to know Jesus.

Sometimes conversations start with art. Sometimes with a necklace. And sometimes, God opens a door you didn’t expect to walk through.

I was recently looking through a set of old photos of leaders from decades past. Men in suits. Formal portraits. Serious expressions.

One detail kept catching my eye.

They wore pins on their jackets.

Not flashy.
Not loud.
Just small symbols — of service, belonging, achievement, or identity.

You don’t see that much anymore. Unless someone is wearing a denim jacket covered in band pins, the idea of a lapel pin feels almost lost to time.

That thought stayed with me.

Then one Sunday morning at church, I noticed it again.

A gentleman older than me walked by wearing a jacket — and there it was. A pin.

So I stopped him.

“Excuse me, sir — can I ask what the pin is?”

He smiled and explained that it represented a racing club. Not just something he joined recently, but something that connected to a long history in his life.

Then he surprised me.

He invited me to come hear him speak at a Porsche Club event about his racing career.

That’s how I ended up sitting beside my dad — who has loved cars his whole life — listening to a man named Ken Davies quietly unfold decades of racing, risk, friendship, and joy.

A “Misspent Youth” That Never Really Ended

Ken opened with a laugh, describing his racing career as “a misspent youth — the problem is, it’s still going on.”

He started racing in the late 1960s:

• Minis on grass autocross courses

• Hill climbs through narrow Welsh roads

• Cheap cars, borrowed tools, and learning by doing

Seatbelts weren’t mandatory yet — but Ken insisted on them anyway. That decision alone probably saved his life.

What stood out wasn’t bravado. It was humility.

Ken never framed himself as a superstar. He framed himself as someone who loved racing, respected danger, and kept showing up.

Racing Isn’t Just Cars — It’s People

As the night went on, Ken walked us through:

• Formula cars

• Porsche racing

• Rallying and endurance events

• Historic racing across Europe

But the moments that lingered weren’t lap times or trophies.

It was the people.

The mechanics who treated cars like living things.
The marshals standing trackside in every kind of weather.
Friends who shared seats, tools, and stories across decades.

He spoke warmly about Terry Sanger — a brilliant engineer, racer, and storyteller whose life was so extraordinary that Ken eventually wrote a book about him. Not for profit, but to support racing marshals and safety crews.

A theme kept surfacing:

Motorsport only works because people care for one another.

Castle Combe: Fast, Historic, and Worth Fighting For

Ken also told the story of Castle Combe Racing Circuit — a former WWII airfield turned race track.

Fast.
Historic.
Controversial.

Local opposition nearly shut it down. Noise complaints. Traffic concerns. Planning hearings.

At one critical moment, the circuit needed an expert witness.

Enter James Hunt.

For £3,000 cash, James Hunt showed up — suit, tie, and very worn shoes — and won over the press, the council, and the courtroom.

Ken summed it up simply:

“It was the best £3,000 the circuit ever spent.”

Castle Combe survived. Racing continued. History stayed alive for “Britain’s Friendliest Racing Circuit”.

A Question I Got to Ask

During the Q&A, I raised my hand and asked Ken a question:

“What are the best racing tips you’ve learned over the years?”

His answer surprised me.

“The fastest drivers don’t look fast.”

He talked about:

• Smoothness

• Consistency

• Mechanical sympathy

Not drama. Not aggression.

Especially in endurance racing, he said, you don’t win by being flashy — you win by being steady and still being there at the end.

That felt like wisdom that reached far beyond the track.

Why This Night Mattered

I came because of a pin.

I stayed because I realized how much quiet wisdom lives in people who’ve spent a lifetime doing something they love.

Racing, as Ken described it, eventually becomes less about cars and more about relationships:

• Family members who support you

• Friends who wrench beside you

• People you trust with your safety

That’s why it meant so much to go and listen with my dad.

Cars were the reason we showed up — but family was the reason it mattered.

I still enjoy go-karts.
Maybe one day, I’ll race cars.

But even if I never do, I’m grateful I stopped someone in a jacket and asked a simple question about a pin.

Sometimes, that’s all it takes.

Last year, I had to get some unexpected plumbing work done on my house.

It ended up costing about $11,000.

That’s a lot of money for me. I didn’t know how I was going to pay for it. I already had money going to other things, and everything felt tight.

I talked with my accountant, and she gave me good advice:
Don’t pull all the money out at once. Take a little at a time.

Financially, that plan worked. My investments continued to grow, and the market had a good year. On paper, things looked fine.

But inside, something wasn’t right.

When the Numbers Work, but the Heart Doesn’t

Even though the plan was “working,” my thoughts were heavy.

I kept thinking:

• I’m not adding to my investments.

• I’m not growing what I worked hard to build.

• Every month feels stretched.

And on top of that, everything has gotten more expensive over the last couple of years.

Then I had to go to the doctor for something that needed to be checked out. The cost kept rising:
$1,200… $1,600… maybe $4,000.

At that point, I realized I couldn’t keep living like this.

So I did something different.

I pulled the money out in one large chunk.
Yes, I’ll probably pay more in taxes later.
But I paid the bills.

And I felt relief.

That’s when it hit me.

I Was Serving the Money

Somewhere along the way, I stopped letting money serve me and started serving the money.

I wasn’t just managing investments—I was letting them rule my peace.

Jesus’ words came to mind in a new way:

“No man can serve two masters… Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
(Matthew 6:24, KJV)

Mammon isn’t just money.
It’s when money becomes the thing that controls your thoughts, your peace, and your decisions.

Money is meant to be a tool, not a master.

I can rebuild investments.
I can recover financially.

But what mattered most was realizing that God had already been faithful. He had allowed me to build those resources in the first place. And when I let go, peace returned.

A Christmas Conversation I Didn’t Expect

On Christmas Day, a friend reached out to wish me a Merry Christmas.

She told me she was thankful she had met me, and that when she thinks about evangelism, she thinks about me—and wants to be as bold.

That humbled me. Truly.

Then she asked a simple question. It’s one of her favorites:
“Is there anything you’ve been learning?”

I shared several things, but then I knew this was the one thing I needed to tell her.

So I shared this story—the plumbing bill, the stress, and how I realized I was serving money instead of letting it serve me.

Her response surprised me.

She said her husband was about to take a different job. It would be less money, but a better job. And they were going to have to dip into their investments.

She was standing right where I had just been.

God’s Timing Is Better Than We See

That moment stopped me.

I don’t know if everything I went through happened for that conversation, or if God simply used it at the right time. Maybe it was both.

But I’m thankful.

I was able to encourage her—not with theory, but with something I had just lived through.

And that’s why I’m sharing this here.

Not because I feel an unction of the Lord to say it—but because it might help someone else who is walking through the same tension right now.

Sometimes the lesson isn’t about making more money.

Sometimes it’s about remembering who is supposed to be serving whom.

While I was scrolling, I was hit with memories — fun moments, hard seasons, friendships that grew, friendships that faded, adventures, mistakes, and everything in between. It reminded me how many people have been part of my life and how each season left its own mark.

Writing it surprised me.
It made me more grateful.
More aware of where I’ve come from.
More connected to the story God has been writing.

But then another thought came.

People who follow me online have seen how I have changed over the years — through what I write, what I share, and how I grow.

So I wrote a second post, inviting people to share their stories privately:

• how their lives look now

• what new seasons they’re in

• who they’ve met

• how their families or friendships have changed

• how their faith has grown or wandered

• what moments shaped them lately

• or how they’ve stayed steady

And it opened up some beautiful conversations.

That’s when it hit me:

This is a simple two-part practice anyone can do.
And it can open doors you didn’t even know were closed.

Part 1: Write a Public “Thank You” to the People of Your Life

You don’t have to name anyone — just reflect.

Write about:

• the moments that shaped you

• the friendships that mattered

• the seasons that taught you something

• the highs and lows that built who you are

• and the people who were there along the way

You’d be surprised how healing it is to pause and acknowledge your story with gratitude.

Part 2: Invite People to Share How They Have Changed

People often see your growth…
but almost no one asks about theirs.

So open a door for them:

“Message me if you’d like. I’d love to hear your story.”

Give them space to talk about:

• their new family

• their new faith

• their new struggles

• their new adventures

• their new friendships

• their new beliefs

• or the quiet steadiness of being the same

Most people don’t get asked questions like that.
And many don’t realize how much they need to share until someone invites them.

As we end this holiday for Thanksgiving, I’ve been taking some time to reflect on the things I’m truly grateful for this year. God has been so faithful, and the people in my life have been such a gift. I wanted to share a few of those reflections with you.

Thankful for Family, Friends & the People Who Walk With Me

I’m so deeply grateful for my family and friends — the ones who support me, check in on me, laugh with me, teach me things, and simply do life alongside me. Every conversation, every hangout, every shared moment has been a blessing.

Thankful for the Lord’s Faithfulness

More than anything, I’m thankful to the Lord:

• for His salvation

• for forgiving my sins

• for giving me eternal life and relationship with Him

• for providing for me in ways I couldn’t have imagined

And I’m thankful for His Word — that He not only saved us, but gave us the Bible so we can read it, know Him, grow in His truth, and hear His heart for us each day.

A Year of Provision

This year brought a huge unexpected challenge — needing all the plumbing under my house replaced. It was overwhelming at first, and I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to pay for it.
But God made a way.
The bill was big, but He provided a path that made it manageable — not easy, but not crushing. It was one of those moments that reminded me again that the Lord sees, knows, and cares for His children.

A Year of Creativity & Learning

I’m also thankful for the creativity God has sparked in me this year.
I’ve learned so much about art — experimenting with AI for inspiration, tracing to learn technique, and slowly growing my hand and confidence.

When I look back at my earliest drawings, I smile (and maybe wince just a tiny bit). They were rough. Really rough.
But I’m grateful for every person who let me practice by drawing their portrait, even before I really knew what I was doing. Their patience became part of my growth.

And I’m thankful for the progress — seeing how far I’ve come is encouraging, and I’m excited for where this creative journey is going.

Thankful for You

I wrote a story! It’s pretty short, so if you’ve ever wondered what would happen if all the planes in the sky stood still, then this story could be for you.

This week I got to hear the testimony of a Muslim who came to Jesus. It was so encouraging. As I’ve been talking with so many Muslims about Jesus, it can be difficult. However, getting to hear about how someone so convinced of Islam encountered Jesus and truly became a follower of Jesus really encouraged me. If you get discouraged when talking to Muslims, don’t give up. It’s worth it!

I also listened to this video from David Wood sharing about 200 Muslims who came to Jesus. I hope it will encourage you too.

I really enjoy going to our Prophetic Practice Nights. I haven’t been able to go as often as I want because of some perfume allergies, but last night I finally made it back—and I’m so glad I did.

These nights are a reminder that hearing the Lord is something we grow in. We practice in the small moments so that when bigger moments come, we already recognize His voice. We begin to trust the way He nudges, speaks, and confirms things.

For new readers, when we talk about prophecy in the New Testament, we’re operating out of 1 Corinthians 14:3:

“He that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.” (KJV)

Here’s what those words mean:

Edification

To strengthen, build up, reinforce, or establish someone in their faith.

Exhortation

To urge forward, motivate, stir up, or call someone closer to God.

Comfort

To soothe, calm, reassure, or bring peace into someone’s situation.

That’s the heart behind prophetic practice—press into Jesus, listen, and share what He says, all for building up, encouraging, and comforting.

God Moves in Real, Tangible Ways

The theme of the night became clear quickly: God steps into our physical world more than we realize.
We often think of Him as distant because He is holy—but Jesus came in the flesh. He still meets us in ways that feel very real.

One woman shared a testimony to start the evening. Earlier that week, she prayed, “Lord, I want to smell oil from heaven.”
As she was praying with her eyes closed, another woman walked up behind her and held oil under her nose. She opened her eyes and was shocked—it felt like the Lord answering her prayer instantly.

That testimony ended up setting the tone for the whole night.

Practice #1 — Hearing God Through Scents

For our first exercise, the leaders passed around small containers filled with different scents. We paired up, smelled the scent, and asked the Lord what He wanted to say through it.

The guy partnered with me smelled roasted meat with gravy. What he shared was incredibly encouraging.

He said when you make gravy, you leave the browned bits—the stuff people normally want to scrape off. Then you pour wine on the pan to pull out the flavor and turn it into something rich and beautiful.

He felt the Lord saying to me:

“This wine is My blood poured over the burnt seasons of your life. The parts you want to forget—the things that felt ruined—are precious to Me. My blood turns those pieces into the richness of your message.”

He said the richness in the word I share comes from those pressing seasons—like grapes being pressed—and that this is where the anointing flows.

This meant a lot because I had just restarted my Substack and had been asking the Lord what direction Brian’s Notebook should take. This felt like a direct confirmation.

Practice #2 — Musical Chairs, Prophetic Style

For the next exercise, we played a version of musical chairs. They asked for five people. Four walked up immediately, and since they asked for one more, I joined.

And something interesting happened.

Every time the music stopped, the chair right in front of me was open.
I just slipped into it without effort. One guy even commented on how casually and calmly I was walking.

After the exercise, they gathered a few people specifically to prophesy over me, and every word felt incredibly timely.

Word #1 — Like David Facing the Philistine

One woman said she heard:
“You uncircumcised Philistine.”

But she clarified that it wasn’t about me—it was about me being like David, stepping toward the uncircumcised Philistine with courage.

She said she saw me going into places where the enemy tries to intimidate or torment people, and that the Lord was anointing me to bring those things down.
This connected strongly with things I’ve been writing about recently and felt like another confirmation about restarting Substack.

Word #2 — The Gutter Guards Are Up

Another person saw a bowling alley with the gutter guards raised.

She felt the Lord saying:

“There’s no wrong way to throw the ball. My defenses are up for you.”

This really hit home because I’ve been wanting everything on Brian’s Notebook to be perfect. But God was reminding me that He’s guiding the process. I can just write and trust Him.

Word #3 — Ride the Skies With Me

A man said he saw me riding on clouds with Jesus.

He heard:

“Ride the skies with Me.”

He saw me leaping from cloud to cloud with joy—higher than I ever expected to go—completely unafraid. He mentioned Jesus returning on the clouds and felt the Lord was inviting me into a higher perspective and creativity.

This confirmed something I’ve felt for a while:
I touch a lot of different topics, and God is in that. He’s allowing me to explore.

Word #4 — A Victor in Christ

Another person simply said:

“You are a victor in Christ.”

Short and simple, but strong.

A Word That Confirmed Everything

Earlier in the night, before the practices even started, I had gotten a word for one girl about her friends whose dogs had recently died. She later told me it was accurate and planned to reach out to them. That moment was encouraging, but what happened next surprised me even more.

At the end of the night, she came over and said she had a word for me too.

She said she felt the Lord speaking:

“I’ve been sharpening you, chiseling you, and reforming you. I’m removing what was never meant to stay, and adding what will fortify you. I’m shaping you into something specific—because I’ve called you to build.”

She said the Lord was making me into a sharp instrument, one able to war and build at the same time.

She described the calling like this:

• to rebuild the ancient ruins,

• to raise up former desolations,

• to renew ruined cities,

• to touch generational desolations,

• and to walk in a story of God’s “180-degree turnaround.”

She said people would one day look at what God has done and say:
“It was this… but God.”

Then she said she heard the Lord say:

“You are a tool in My hand. Build My people. Build My body. Build My kingdom.”

She said she saw a merging of prophetic and apostolic gifting in me—that evangelism is already active, but that what’s coming is far beyond anything I expect.

She said:

“You carry the full expression of Jesus in ways you don’t see yet. There is so much more coming.”

Then she smiled and said:

“Go Brian. Go God.”

And here’s the wild part:
None of these people knew that I had restarted my Substack this week.
Every word was a direct confirmation of things I’ve been praying about.

Why I’m Sharing This

Nights like this remind me that hearing God is not about perfection or pressure.
It’s about learning, growing, practicing, and letting Him speak into the real parts of our lives.

This week, I feel freshly encouraged to build Brian’s Notebook with Him—not perfectly, just obediently.

My Top 10 Secrets to Dominating in Laser Tag

Laser tag is one of my favorite things to do. After following Jesus, healing the sick, and hearing His voice, it's probably one of my top 10 favorite activities. The thing is I've got a lot of things I like doing, so it's impressive for it to make it to the top 10. 

Who are you to share about Laser Tag?

• I'm just a normal guy who likes to play. However, I usually get 1st when I play. That's not to say, "hey, look at Brian." It's just to say something is working, and I want to share those tips with you.

• I like to play so much, I usually schedule it for my birthday party. Whoop Whoop!

• Here are some pictures from my last round of games just to show I'm not making the scores up. My character for this set was Obi Wan.

Here are my Top 10 tips for Dominating in Laser Tag

1. Use the blaster

   • The blaster is better because you can sometimes get multiple tags in one blast.

   • The blaster has a wider range than the phaser. 

   • I usually play at Main Event, so needing some kind of distance isn't an issue.

2. Keep your laser up

   • If you want to be able to tag people quickly, you've got to keep your laser up and ready to fire.

   • If your laser is down by your side or not ready, you will most likely get tagged before you even have a chance to fire back.

3. Mind the time delay

   • When you get tagged, or you tag someone else, there is a time delay of 3–4 seconds.

   • If you've been tagged, that means you have 3–4 seconds to get away and move to another spot. They've likely moved on and forgotten about you, so you can tag them from your new spot.

   • If you've tagged someone else, most people just stay where they are at or walk off slowly. This gives you the opportunity to count the seconds down. If you get the timing right, you can actually get two tags off before they even realize what's happened.

   • Once you tag the first person, counting the seconds allows you to tag another person and then tag the initial person again.

4. Keep a mental note of where people are located

   • Some people like to stay in the same spot. There are also some places where most people will hang out because of the way the maps are laid out. If you know where someone is most likely to be located, you can actually be ready to fire into that place as you move into it. You can start blasting before you even get there.

   • That also includes keeping a heads up of where people are located and where they could be going. If you know how the map is laid out, then you can anticipate that the person who just went that way should be coming out over there. Then you can position yourself to get the tag upon their arrival.

5. Find the spot that has the best view

   • At Main Event, I like to get on the incline that leads to the second floor, so I can see all the way across the first and second floors. I've found this to give you the most amount of heads up on where people are at. It also allows you to tag people when they come around corners before they even know you are there.

   • This spot makes it harder for people to tag you as the floor covers part of your chest. Your back is also not exposed to anyone behind you. The more you're not tagged means less time on the 3–4 second pause, which translates to more time to tag others.

   • One problem that can occur is when someone from the other team steals your strategy and starts firing at you from the other side of the map in the same spot. If that happens, you've got to run (Don't run. Running is not allowed.) over to their side and flush them out of that spot. If they switch to the other side, then follow them there till they won't be in your best spot anymore.

6. Work on getting multiple tags in succession

   • One way to do this is to quickly switch angles by moving back and forth. Tag right, then tag left. If you've got people coming on both sides of you,  you switch back and forth, getting them both one at a time. Then start counting, and continue to tag them as long as they will let you.

   • Another way to do this is to tag multiple people who are lined up in a row. The blaster actually lets you tag multiple people who are really close to each other. So if people are huddled up, just tag them both at one time.

7. Corners and walls

   • Sometimes you'll end up on the opposite wall or corner as your opponent. When that happens, you don't have to take your whole body around the corner. Just take your laser and edge it quickly around the corner or wall and fire. You don't have to see where you're aiming. Just fire. You'll probably pull off a tag before they know what's happening. This might also let you get multiple tags in if they don't move. Then start counting. Look around for others. Hopefully, you can get in another tag before the person behind the wall's timer cools off. Then repeat the previous steps.

8. Keep firing

   • You don't get penalized for having the most shots fired. You also don't run out of ammo. So just keep firing until the vest/laser lets you know you've got a tag. 

   • Switch fingers when your fingers get tired from continuously firing. I've found this to be super helpful because if you play multiple games in a row, you will probably get tired.

9. Move when needed

   • If people keep coming to you, when you're in the best spot, and you are able to keep tagging them, stay where you're at. There isn't a reason to move if you keep winning where you're at.

   • However, sometimes no one comes to you. The battle has moved somewhere else. If that happens, you've got to go find the other team. If you aren't tagging people, then you're not scoring points, which means you're not going to be able to win. You have to continuously tag people to help your team win. So move when you have to.

10. Have fun

    • This is really the most important tip to everything. You can put all the tips into play above, but if you're angry and not having fun, then why play laser tag? Laser tag is all about having fun.

    • Encourage and build up the people who are playing with you. I love yelling out to people when they tag me. I tell them well done, and great job, and that was awesome! Whatever I can say to help encourage them.

    • Circle up at the beginning of each game to yell out your team color or to say something goofy. 

    • Give shout-outs to the people who did really well after the game. Let them know they did a great job!

    • This is laser tag. It's all about having a blast!

I'm sure there are some other tips out there, but these are my top 10 tips for dominating at laser tag. I hope it helps you. If you ever want to play, let me know. I'm even thinking it would be fun to have a laser tag tournament. Someone please organize this. ;)

Yesterday, I was at the grocery store. There was a lady in a wheelchair who I ran into twice. She was trying to pick up some Epson salt and was having a hard time with it. I went over to help, and then asked her what was going on. She told me she had knee surgery, a bad back, and an injury in her ankle. I asked her if I could pray for her, and she said yes. 

Just as I was about to pray for her, she shared her passion for prison ministry, her faith in prayer, and her belief in Jesus as a healer. She told me how everyday she gets up and reminds herself about what God says about her. It was really neat listening to her tell her story. 

It’s a Miracle!

After she finished sharing, she let me pray for her. I asked her to get up and move around to see what the Lord Jesus has done for her. Immediately, her ankle pain went away! She kept saying, "It's a miracle."

Her knee was still a little tight, so she let me pray again and all the pain left her back too. She looked at me in wonder. The Lord was really working in her life right there! Praise the Lord!

She was saying the knee was still a little tight and stubborn. I'm not sure why I didn't ask to pray for the knee one more time. It could have been the number of people who kept coming down that aisle or what not, but it looked like she was getting ready to leave after that.

I asked her, "By the way, you kept saying it's a miracle for that ankle. How long has it been hurting?" 

She said, "It's been hurting since 1990. This is the first time it hasn't hurt.“

Praise the Lord! That's over 30 years of pain healed by Jesus!

I’m Thankful!

I'm so thankful that Jesus shows up in our lives. I'm thankful that He's the healer. I'm thankful we have been commissioned to lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. 

There are hurting people everywhere, and they are waiting for us to walk like Jesus. Jesus is still the healer. I see Him performing healings on a regular basis. 

I hope by writing things like that here, you all will be encouraged to begin to see the Lord as someone who wants to heal them and wants to use them to heal others.
