KJV Scripture
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
— 1 Peter 1:23“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”
— 1 John 5:18
When God saved you, He did not give you a weak or fragile life. Because you are in Christ, you were born of incorruptible seed. That means the life God placed in you does not decay, spoil, or break down. It did not come from human strength, emotion, or effort. God has already done this by His word.
This new birth came “by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” The same word that spoke life into you is still living and still abiding. Because the word remains, the life it gives also remains. What God planted in you is not temporary or seasonal.
This is why Scripture says the wicked one cannot touch you in ownership or control. Your identity is rooted in what you were born from. You are kept, not because you never struggle, but because the seed God placed in you cannot be corrupted. This is who you are now because you are in Christ.
Reflection Question
Where have you been afraid that your faith or life in Christ could be ruined?
Prayer
Father, thank You for giving me life that cannot fade or be taken. Help me rest today in the identity You have already given me in Christ. Amen.
