Sunday Stories Part 4
When two people both get the same word.
I had been outside for a few minutes when a friend came up to me. As she was talking, I suddenly felt pain on the right side of my jaw in my tooth. I didn’t know if it was her, or if it was the family that was right to my right. They both came up about the same time. So I asked her if her tooth was hurting, and I pointed to my right side.
She said it was. I asked her if I could pray for her, and she said yes. I prayed for her and the pain went away.
Afterward, though we started talking about the experience, and she said that she started to feel the pain when she walked up to me too. I asked her if she had been feeling pain earlier, and she hadn’t.
So what happened?!
I’m not 100% sure, but I think we were both actually getting a word of knowledge for the other family that had just walked up as well. I should have been faster to also stop the conversation and ask the family too. We started to try to find the family that was right there at the time, but I think they had already left.
I think it was really neat that we both got to have the same word at the same time.
Learning to hear the Lord is a process.
When I first started praying for people, I couldn’t hear the Lord. I just kept my eyes open, and there is always someone hurting somewhere. However, as I learned that you could still hear the Lord today, and that He spoke in a variety of ways, learning to hear Him has been such a fun and interesting process. He constantly surprises me.
