Who I Am in Christ: An Introduction
Most believers know what Christ has done for them—but far fewer know who they are now because of Him.
For many Christians, the deepest battles are not on the outside but on the inside:
• Am I really forgiven?
• Does God truly love me?
• Am I secure in Christ?
• What does God say about my identity—right now, today?
The Bible is not silent about these questions. In fact, God has filled His Word with clear, powerful declarations about who we become the moment we are saved. These truths are not based on feelings, performance, or seasons of life. They are rooted in the unchanging promises of God and revealed plainly in Scripture.
This newsletter, “Who I Am in Christ,” collects these identity statements directly from the King James Bible, expressed in first person so you can read them, pray them, and stand on them with confidence. They are not motivational slogans or modern affirmations—they are God’s own words about you, anchored in chapter and verse.
Why does this matter?
Because identity shapes everything.
What you believe about who you are in Christ affects:
• how you pray
• how you fight spiritual battles
• how you respond to temptation
• how you view your past
• how you walk into your future
• how you relate to God with boldness and confidence
When you know what God says about you, doubt loses its grip, fear loses its voice, and the lies of the enemy lose their power. You begin to stand where God wants you to stand—in Christ, settled, secure, and unshakable.
Below is the full list of 77 Identity Statements, each one drawn straight from Scripture, with every verse referenced. You can use them for daily reading, prayer, encouragement, discipleship, or to renew your mind in seasons of struggle.
This is who God says you are.
This is who Christ is in you.
This is your identity—your inheritance—your standing in Him.
Let’s begin.

This Week in Brian’s Notebook
This week has been full of learning, writing, and moments where God reminded me of His faithfulness. Here’s a quick recap of what I posted, what I worked on, and a few things that stood out along the way. I hope something here encourages you as you head into a new week.
A Little Cozy Fun This Week
This week I also jumped into something new — a Cozy Winter Writing Challenge hosted by Tamsin G.. It’s a light-hearted, creative series of daily prompts meant to spark imagination, encourage storytelling, and add a bit of warmth to these colder days.
I decided to participate for fun, for practice, and honestly just to enjoy the simple joy of creating something small each day. The prompts have already pushed me in new directions, and I’ve had a great time sharing the stories that came from them.
If you enjoy short stories, cozy vibes, or just seeing what creativity looks like in real time, I hope you’ll enjoy reading along. Here are a couple below, and more stories from the challenge are coming throughout the month!
